We are looking for an experienced and visionary leader to head the Business Intelligence and Analytics teams, driving the strategic direction of our data initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven ability to build and scale data organizations, bringing expertise in modern data architectures, governance practices, and analytics solutions. This individual must excel at communicating complex ideas to diverse audiences, inspiring trust, and fostering collaboration.

In this role, you will oversee the collection, analysis, and management of data across the organization and develop and implement data-driven strategies to achieve business goals. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Development, and various business units to optimize business performance. As a leader, you will create a culture of ownership and collaboration, empowering team members to thrive and take accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor, and lead a team of skilled team leaders, BI Developers, and Analysts.
  • Create a balanced environment for group members to thrive in.
  • Recruit, hire, retain, and mentor top talent engineers, while continuously improving the team (structure, processes, stability, quality, and deliverables).
  • Take part in forming engineering culture, vision, and cross-department processes.
  • Participate in solution design, set technical direction and quality standards, and guide implementation.
  • Monitor the development process and take full ownership and responsibility for the data field.
  • Develop robust and scalable software components and services.
  • Define and track key metrics to evaluate the success of data initiatives, ensuring transparency and accountability at every level.
  • Establish robust data governance, creating clear standards for data quality, lineage, and single sources of truth (SSOT).
  • Build a future-ready data ecosystem, developing a scalable, cloud-based data architecture that supports diverse data sources and real-time analytics.
  • Empower a self-service culture by driving the adoption of "data as a product" (DaaP) principles, making insights accessible and actionable across the organization.
  • Lead advanced analytics efforts by championing the integration of AI/ML technologies to derive predictive insights, optimize operations, and unlock growth opportunities.
  • Foster collaboration across teams by uniting data engineers, analysts, and business leaders under a cohesive operational model.
  • Upskill and empower talent by introducing training programs that embed data expertise within every business unit.


Requirements

Leadership Skills:

  • Experience as a Software Group Manager / R&D Director / Director of BI & Analytics.
  • 7+ years of broad management experience: individuals, teams, and project management.
  • Great communication skills.
  • A true team player.
  • “I can move a mountain” attitude when needed.

Technical Expertise:

  • 10+ years of extensive experience in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence.
  • Expertise in leading cross-organizational processes to improve business results and best practices.
  • Extensive experience in structuring and solving problems with analytical skills (e.g., investigation, modeling, mapping, and gap analysis) and techniques (e.g., trend analysis, forecasting, and experimental design).
  • Experience with at least one of the following visualization tools: Tableau, QlikView, Qlik Sense, Power BI.
  • Experience in building reliable and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Experience working with data tools such as Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, DBT, MySQL, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience in building tools and processes to enable teams to rapidly and reliably develop, deploy, and run data solutions.
  • Experience working with multiple web analytics platforms like Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Facebook Ads—an advantage.
  • Working with cloud-related data services (AWS / Azure / GCP / Databricks) — an advantage.
