Responsibilities
- Provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice to various teams, with a focus on commercial, employment, privacy, and intellectual property matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements (MSAs, SaaS agreements, DPAs, NDAs, employment contracts, vendor and partnership agreements, etc.)
- Support and advise on legal aspects of marketing, product development, and go-to-market activities
- Monitor and address intellectual property and brand protection, including handling piracy and trademark issues
- Own and manage legal documentation templates and contract processes
- Collaborate on privacy and data protection compliance (including GDPR and other applicable frameworks)
- Partner with HR on employment law issues and help shape policies and practices
- Respond to internal legal questions and support global expansion efforts
- Report directly to the General Counsel
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as an in-house counsel or in a tech-oriented law firm, with a focus on commercial and privacy law – must
- Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements in a SaaS or tech company - must
- Familiarity with privacy regulations, data protection laws (including GDPR, CCPA), IP, and open-source licenses
- Strong business acumen and the ability to provide actionable, risk-based legal advice
- Experience supporting legal needs in product-led companies (especially B2C or B2B SaaS) - an advantage.
- Comfortable navigating both legal and business considerations, especially in the context of product and technology development.
- Ability to independently lead cross-functional legal projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Ability to lead legal initiatives and influence stakeholders without formal authority.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) at a professional legal level - must
- A proactive, collaborative, and service-oriented mindset
- Proven experience working on and integrating to builder & editing tools, or similar complex interfaces - an advantage
