Senior Automation Engineer
About The Position
We are looking for a high-impact Senior Automation Engineer to join Store R&D. This isn't a role for someone who follows a script; we need an Engineer at heart who views quality as a product of great architecture.
You will take full ownership of the quality lifecycle for high-stakes domains like Checkout, Payments, and Pricing. Your goal is to move beyond traditional testing by building "Agentic Workflows" and leveraging AI to multiply the productivity of our entire Fullstack engineering team.

Responsibilities
- Architect & Scale: Design and own the next generation of our automation frameworks (Frontend & Backend).
- AI Orchestration: Research and implement AI-based testing tools to automate the "un-automatable" and reduce maintenance overhead.
- Full Ownership: Work directly with Product Owners and stakeholders to define quality gates for complex commerce flows.
- Technical Mentorship: Set the "Gold Standard" for clean code and CI/CD excellence, enabling Fullstack engineers to ship with confidence.
- Improvise & Innovate: When standard tools fail, you build your own. We value the ability to improvise and find creative solutions to complex system bottlenecks.
Requirements
- 5+ Years of Experience: You’ve built and scaled automation for complex, high-traffic systems (Payments/E-commerce experience is a major plus).
- TypeScript/JS Mastery: You don't just 'use' TypeScript; you leverage its full power to write production-ready code that balances speed of delivery with long-term technical excellence.
- Framework Expert: Deep hands-on experience with Playwright or Cypress.
- CI/CD Ninja: Expertise in GitHub Actions and containerized environments.
- Product Thinking: You can translate business requirements from a PO into a technical validation strategy.
- The "Hacker" Mindset: You think outside the box, challenge the status quo, and can solve problems in real-time.
Nice to Have
- Experience building or using AI-driven testing agents.
- Background in Performance, Load, or Security testing.
- Contributions to Open Source projects.
